Four ways to complete an uncontested divorce
Couples who already agree usually choose one of four paths.
All of them can work. They do not include the same help, and they do not cost the same.
1 – Court DIY
Free Montana forms. You handle the rest.
You complete the packet, pay the filing fee, file the case, serve papers if required, and manage any hearing yourself. This can work if you have time to learn the process and both spouses can agree on every item.
2 – Form-only websites
Low starting price. Many costs are extra.
Some websites sell divorce documents at a low starting price. Help, questions, customization, notarization, and filing are often extra. Those add-ons can raise the real cost into the thousands, and you may still be the person who files and follows the court steps.
3 – DoUsPart Divorce
Guided questions. Attorney-reviewed templates. The firm files.
You answer questions. Court documents are built from attorney-reviewed templates developed with Scheveck & Salminen Law Firm, PLLC. You see previews of the documents as you go and confirm that the language matches your agreement. Remote notarization and the court filing fee are included. Current Montana pricing is $1,600 when there are no minor children and $1,900 when a parenting plan is included.
4 – Traditional Attorney
Custom representation when you cannot agree.
You can hire a lawyer for full representation. That is the right choice when the spouses cannot agree or the matter is complicated. It usually costs much more than $1,600–$1,900, especially if the case becomes contested.

Paths 1–3 still require both spouses to agree.
If there is no agreement, a traditional attorney or a contested process is the honest next step. DoUsPart is the online platform. Legal services connected to the templates and filing are provided through Scheveck & Salminen Law Firm, PLLC.
