What is a guided questionnaire?
The guided questionnaire is the set of questions you answer on DoUsPart. It is not a blank form. Each question is tied to language in the court documents. When you answer, the system places your information into attorney-reviewed templates.
You see previews of the documents as you go. After you answer questions about the house, for example, you can view how that appears in the settlement agreement and other forms. If the preview does not match what you and your spouse agreed, you can go back and change the answer before you continue.
The first short set of questions is only to see whether an uncontested divorce is a fit. It does not start a case or create a fee. If you move forward, the full questionnaire covers the topics the court expects: residency, property, debts, support, and a parenting plan if you have minor children.
You do not have to know legal terms. The questions are written in plain language. The templates supply the formal document language. You confirm that the result matches your agreement, then the firm files.
